Freddie Mercury's story
Freddie Mercury is a fun and playful boy! He's about 7 months old and 25lbs, and judging from his paw size he won't get much bigger. He has a ton of energy, loves to zoom around the backyard, chase squirrels, and romp with his foster sister(a 10yr old GSP that he worked hard to win over).
He will entertain himself, given a toy and a little space, and will play outside in all weather. He has a funny habit of dropping what he's doing and sitting at attention anytime he hears a neighbor's dog bark. He spends about half his free time outside in the fenced yard, sometimes just sitting on the porch or in the grass watching birds.
His life philosophy is "Play hard, nap hard." He will cuddle with mom or dad on the couch for a nap, and is generally content to go into his crate after playtime to chill or to sleep at night.
He hasn't been around children or cats, but would probably love to play with any he meets. He eats in spurts, and isn't picky about whether it's his puppy food or sister's regular food.
He is great at bath time, extremely well-behaved in the tub. Funny enough, he does not love being rubbed down with a towel afterward.
Treats and chew bones are his obsession, and he will obey any command you teach him for them. In training for leash walking, playing gently, being calmer greeting mom and dad when they come home, and possibly Quidditch! He needs a family that will continue to train him through the rest of his puppy months.
Is 90% house trained, will not have an accident inside if he is taken out regularly. He has never had an accident in his crate, and doesn't have to be let out at the crack of dawn-but 7 on weekdays and 8-9 on weekends is his norm. He let mom sleep til 10 once!
He is a people dog, and will be your shadow when you're home, unless he's too busy playing with sister that is! He doesn't like to be alone very much, so a home where he has a playful sibling would be best. He has shown no anxiety, and is at peace in storms. We just love Freddie and we know you will too!!
